If you know what I mean, then you have come to the right place. Here are 3 tips to help define whats the most important marketing pieces to start with to market your business.

  1. If you have your product or service defined, who do want to be like? Identify your benchmark, the company you want to be like. Model your website, social media, and eCommerce like the company you admire and hope to be one day. You will need to take steps toward that goal but at least you have a goal and an idea of where you want to take your business.
  2. Now decide which of the two marketing pieces you can take on and be consistent with? Can you blog every week and post on social every day? Can you manage your SEO and email your customers?

3. There is no right way to start, you just need to start. If you choose to execute on social media, look at your competitor-benchmark to see where they are- Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram; become an expert on that platform. Once you get a handle on posting consistently and learning how to add value to your new community by offering information and selling using the 80/20 rule. The 80% add value and 20% sell your product online. Then move on to adding a blog, email marketing, and always measure what’s working and what’s not.

Bonus tip:

Sign up for your competitor’s emails, newsletters, follow them on social see how they market their business. This way you can model what they do until you can see a pattern for your customers and clients. Modeling what they do will help you identify your customers and their buying patterns.
