It used to be you could plan your marketing for about a month or a quarter at a time, but with the changing times and what’s going on in the economy, and whether things are open or closed, and how people are selling. It is going to require you to revisit your marketing strategy.

Revisit Message and Tone

You may have to revisit the messaging and the tone in what you’re saying. Hard sells aren’t going to work very well at this time, but your stories, always tell a story about how you’ve done this and how you succeeded in that. And people love stories. People also love to see you, see your face. Transparency is a key component.

Revisit Engagement

As the owner of a business, I know that you will gain so much more engagement on social platforms if you show yourself doing it. I know a lot of people don’t like to be in videos or like to be in social posts, but I’m here to tell you, you will see some great engagement when you show your face.

Revisit Your Community

Also, it’s really important to reach out to your communities and let them know how you’re doing, how it’s going, how the business is, are you open, are you closed? What precautions you’ve taken to help everyone be safe and healthy. And also to reach out to your customers to make sure that they are. And it’s never a bad time to reach out to your customers.
