These past few years, I discovered how fun it was to create a story with video. It’s amazing. It so beats writing to get the point across. I started making videos for my students and our events at SMU in Dallas.
I first used iMovie, then downloaded Filmora. I was up all night creating my first video. It was great. The students loved it, and so did my coworkers. We put it up on all the TVs in the building.
In marketing, you can tell a much more interesting story through video than any other medium. Video is proven to be more captivating than text, and viewers are 95% more likely to remember a call to action after watching a video, compared to 10% when you read it. (Forbes, 2017)

The average user spends 88% more time on a website with video (Forbes, 2018). Video offers a much more dynamic experience for the viewer. It provides an easy and comfortable way to digest and retain information.

Additionally, 93% of marketers say they’ve landed a new customer thanks to a video on social media. This increased quality of leads can be attributed to the quality of education that video brings. Not only do customers gain trust in companies, but they’re also able to educate themselves about the company or their product through interactive visuals.
